Whether it's an Old Standard, Big Band Swing, Ballroom,
Dixieland, Blues, a Latin Rhythm, a Country Tune, or a Polka
or Waltz, you're sure to enjoy and appreciate this "music for
your listening and dancing pleasure". That has been the
motto of The Knights Of Dixie Orchestra since 1959, when
the band was organized, and will continue to be for the years
to come. This Houston, Texas area musical group consists of
six talented, professional members and specializes in a
versatile program by playing special arrangements of music
with a solid beat from the 30's, 40's, 50's, and 60's.
The Knights Of Dixie Orchestra is a closely knit group and has
become one of the most popular dance bands in Texas,
performing for private parties, wedding receptions, dance
clubs, and public functions in a professional manner. In fact,
the band's library of arrangements has increased to such a
number that a variety of music can be performed, but most
importantly, the style of the music has remained.
Three recordings have been released by The Knights Of Dixie
Orchestra during the years and are available on Cassette
Tape and Compact Disc. All of these releases feature a
variety of music representing the group's unique style and
versatility that has kept this ever-popular band in constant
demand.
